International Registration Authority
The Saxifrage Society is the appointed International
Cultivar Registration Authority for Saxifraga Cultivars and as such is responsible for
publishing the International Register. The first
edition of this was published in 1995. As the International Registration Authority the
Society maintains information on all Saxifraga cultivars as they appear. They also advise
on validity of new names and ensure that they conform to the standards of the International
Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants (1995).
